I met Ken over a decade ago while working for the Park District. When he began teaching martial arts to some of the local teens I was intrigued. I would find myself pausing at the door to watch various classes before moving on to my other duties. Ken would often ask if I wanted to participate, unfortunately, my schedule didn’t allow it at the time. Eventually, my schedule shifted and I had the great pleasure of attending Ken’s class. His talent for the martial arts, and his depth of knowledge are amazing. The thing that impacted me most, however, was his teaching style. As an educator myself I was always amazed at his ability to connect with his students. I could see him impacting their lives for the better. It was truly an amazing thing to watch. You should take his class. You will love it. I did.
